In 1864 the Crown granted this rural section of land within Rolleston to an early settler. This land parcel was subsequently subdivided in 1873, and records show there have been a number of owners since that date. More recently the Geddes family farmed the land and were instrumental in instigating the development.
The first owner of the parcel of land was an early settler called W. Acland, out of respect, this development has been titled ‘Acland Park’.
